Can you believe that today is the last day of September? I certainly can’t – where on earth has this year gone?!
So I set out to write and publish 30 posts this month – how many did I actually manage?
I’m having a last minute blitz to try and get me over the 20 mark, but I believe that I successfully posted 18 posts during the challenge. Pretty sure that’s better than April’s attempt! I feel more successful anyway…
So how many of this month’s posts did you catch?
- Welcome To September
- 5 Things I Always Pack And Never Use
- What Is Home Town Tourism?
- How I Imagine Disney To Be
- Edinburgh Favourites
- Travel Blogger Of The Week
- Trains And Treats (September Staycation Day 1)
- Riverside Museum
- Cirque Du Soleil Ovo Review
- From Hard Rock To Home (September Staycation Day 3)
- Edinburgh’s Samhuinn Festival
- Museum Of Scottish Lighthouses
- Aberdeenshire Autumn Rover Pass
- What Is Travel?
- Can We Talk About English As A First Language Privilege?
- 3 Ways To Travel In Style
and then of course there’s this post!
I would just like to take a moment to remember some of the posts which unfortunately never were (because time moves too fast): Celebrating New Year In Scotland, Vienna Diaries (day one and day two!), Grampian Transport Museum, Fyvie Castle, Balmoral Castle, 3 Things I’m Glad I Always Pack, Home Town Tourism: Bognor Regis, Home Town Tourism: Turriff, The Spiritualist review and a review of Chop Bar And Grill.
I will hopefully get these posts up over the coming weeks so I will try and get them all linked up so that you can read any that interest you!
So why was I not able to smash this challenge? There have, as always, been a number of hiccups along the way healthwise and lifewise but I think it all comes down to my lack of organisational abilities. The bloggers who smash challenges like this tend to have like 29 of their 30 posts written and ready to roll before the challenge begins. I’m not that person, I’m a write and post kinda gal. I think that’s why I can never quite clinch these challenges, because I never have a back up ready for when things don’t go to plan.
Next month I am attempting Blogtober and I don’t think I’m any more prepared. For those who don’t know, Blogtober is a post every day during the month of October. I have about 12 posts planned out so far but only have half a post actually written. Do I expect to succeed? No, but it’s going to be fun to try.
For anybody wondering, I plan to take November out from these challenges. They’re fun but every month is definitely a bit too intense. I plan on returning in December with a slightly different challenge – Vlogmas, a video on each of the 24 days of advent. Don’t worry – I have started planning this one out already because videos take a lot longer than blogs!
Were you doing the September Travel Challenge? How did you get on? Are you attempting Blogtober or Blogmas or Vlogmas? Are you ready and raring to go? Let me know in the comments below!
