If I’m Lucky, He’ll Come Back.

“Yes I love him. I love him more than anything else in this world and there is nothing that I would like better than to hold on to him forever. But I know it’s not for the best. So no matter how much my heart is going to break, I’ve got to let him go so he can know just how much I love him. Maybe if I’m lucky, he’ll come back, but if not, I can make it through this.” Stolen from http://www.searchquotes.com, original source unknown.  It’s so true, and I love it. This Is Love.

There is something sickeningly cliched about getting married on Valentine’s day, but that’s what thousands did regardless.  Edith Casa and Victor Cingolani were one of those couples when they married over in Argentina yesterday.  If you haven’t read their story, let me fill you in about why I’ve chosen to write about this particularly special couple.  He is currently in jail serving a 13 year sentence…for killing her sister.  Just let that sink in for a minute. Now I know that you have already formed your own opinion, but let me give you mine anyway.  I think it’s beautiful.  I think she’s … Continue reading This Is Love.

Neigh Surprise.

If you are British and you haven’t heard about the ‘horsemeat scandal’ that we’ve got going on at the moment, then please tell me where you’ve been so that I can come and join you.  I know this post perhaps isn’t linked with the whole love and romance theme I had going on for February, but I’m angry.  The whole love nonsense makes me quite angry too I guess, so there’s a (very subtle) link! In brief, for those of you who are successfully oblivious about everything horsemeat, tests have been carried out on a heap of food which customers … Continue reading Neigh Surprise.

28 Days of Love.

I have decided that all of my February posts are going to be (somehow) related to love. I feel the need to give you all some pre-warning of this plan since, if you weren’t already aware, I am the most unromantic female to have ever existed. I don’t believe in love and I am totally opposed to anything soppy. There are a number of possible outcomes: -I’m going to show some sickeningly romantic side of myself that even I didn’t know existed (Incredibly Unlikely). -I’m going to spend the whole month taking the mick out of everything and everyone … Continue reading 28 Days of Love.

Teaching Touching?

A little tip for all of you – never use YouTube to search for that scene from Black Swan.  If you don’t know the scene I’m referring to, you probably haven’t seen the film.  Anyway, if you do the videos that are ‘Recommended For You’ will completely change (well mine did, maybe these videos are already on your feed but that’s none of my business.)  If I were to sit and watch these videos, most of them “how to”s and advice videos, I do believe I could be the best damn lesbian lover any woman had ever encountered.  My recommended … Continue reading Teaching Touching?

I Love Me, I Love Me Not.

On the 16th of January The Daily Post said “Most of us are excellent at being self-deprecating, and are not so good at the opposite. Tell us your favorite thing about yourself.”  Considering earlier today one of my friends was telling me off for this exact same thing (“You’re so hard on yourself.” she said, “I’m only honest”, I replied.), I have decided that I’m going to give this one a go.  On the basis that I have miniscule amounts of self-esteem and an oversized sense of realism, it’s going to take some time to work out what my favourite thing about myself might … Continue reading I Love Me, I Love Me Not.

#Don’tCutForAnyone

The latest Twitter trend shocking the world is #Cut4Bieber.  Supposedly started off as a prank, the idea was to get ‘Beliebers’ (die hard Justin Bieber fangirls) to cut themselves after an unproved rumour that the singer was caught smoking a joint.  As news of the trend spread, non-Beliebers far and wide started to mock them. “If you’re #cutting4bieber why don’t you just cut a little deeper?” one girl on my Twitter wrote. Self harm is not a joke. Suicide is not a joke. Now this may be the unpopular thing to do, but I’m away to jump to the defense of the … Continue reading #Don’tCutForAnyone

RIP 2012.

Tomorrow sees the end of the year it was all going to end.  Was 2012 good to you?  Did it bring all that you hoped and more?  Was it filled with highs and lows?  Was it just another year? I started the year by making a list of 10 things that I wanted to achieve, because I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions.  I mean, if you want to change something, why wait for a specific day, why not just start now? 1.Get into 2nd year with no less than a B in the Graded unit-DONE. 2. Finish Gold Duke … Continue reading RIP 2012.

Apocalypse NOW.

I’m not saying that I believe the Mayan’s calendar.  I’m not saying that I think the world is going to end tomorrow. I’m just saying, what if it does? If the world ends tomorrow, 21st of December 2012, I’ll  have spent approximately of  8185 days and 20 hours and 56 minutes on earth.  I guess the day before my imminent death is too late to realise that I never had a bucket list as such, isn’t it?  Take a minute, think about your ‘bucket list’ (a list of things you want to do before you die, if you weren’t sure).  Have you done … Continue reading Apocalypse NOW.
