RIP 2012.

Tomorrow sees the end of the year it was all going to end.  Was 2012 good to you?  Did it bring all that you hoped and more?  Was it filled with highs and lows?  Was it just another year?

I started the year by making a list of 10 things that I wanted to achieve, because I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions.  I mean, if you want to change something, why wait for a specific day, why not just start now?

1.Get into 2nd year with no less than a B in the Graded unit-DONE.

2. Finish Gold Duke of Edinburgh.

3.Save up enough money to pay for trip to Mexico -DONE.

4. Get fit. (Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha)

5.Start writing again.

6.Get blog up and running properly (it’s not the blog I had in mind, but does this one count?! Did I do this?!)

7.Win something at Turriff Show-DONE.

8. Get a new job.

9. Give up cheese for lent and not die. – DONE

10. I honestly can’t remember what the last one was but it’s probably safe to say that I didn’t do it.

Clearly I didn’t do so well.  I still did some of them though! This has been a bit of a bizarre year in the life of Kirsty.

There have been some good points, and there has been more than enough low points.  This is the year that my life fell apart, but the first few months weren’t so bad.  I’m trying hard to think of a highlight but there’s not one single thing that stands out more than everything else.  There was the concerts/gigs (although probably a lot less of them than there has been in recent years), there was the olympics, there was the holidays, there were nights in with a cheesy movie and some Ben and Jerry’s.  If I was naive enough to believe in love then I might have fallen in it, but I’m not that kind of girl.  I launched no less than 3 hate campaigns on the entire male species (sorry to any guys who may be reading this!).  There are photos by the thousand (this is not an unusual occurance for me.) and I also lost a lot of them too.  I lost a lot more friends than I made, but I have a new best friend so I don’t really care (additional best friend, not a replacement).    I got an awesome tax rebate that gave me the opportunity to join my family’s holiday for a whole 3 days.  I accidentally overdosed.  I got to take my Godson to nursery.  I got to hold one of the most beautiful baby boy’s in existance, then he was sick on me and my new white top.  I got to tortoise sit and I got my toes bitten by a kitten (in 2011 a llama sneezed on me, so clearly I’m going up in the world.).  I got my hair cut short, which was only a great idea for about the first two days. I didn’t die in the apocalypse…

Bring on the New Year.
