One of the offers on Sweatcoin one day was a Degustabox, which I have seen people talking about on various social medias. Degustabox is a subscription box which sends you a selection of foods and beverages to try each month, and since I was practically getting it for free I thought I would give it a go!
I got really worried when I saw that my Degustabox would be delivered by DPD as they don’t have a particularly good reputation in our area but in the end the delivery was problem free. I was super excited and couldn’t wait to delve into my box!
The excitement only grew when I finally got into the box and the first thing I saw was jelly beans…
What did I receive?
- Reese’s Peanut Buttercups (89p)
- Cadbury Oreo Instant Hot Chocolate (£2.99)
- Juicy Fuel Original Cola (£1.50)
- Mallow & Marsh Raspberry And Dark Chocolate Marshmallows (£2.50)
- Choc Chick Cacao Nibbles (£1.85)
- Dr Kargs Organic Wholegrain Tomato And Mozzarella Snacks (£1.60)
- Three Yes! snack bars (£1.20 each) – cranberry and dark chocolate, beetroot and apple and dark chocolate, sea salt and almond.
- Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps (£1.80)
- Indie Bay Snacks Smokin’ BBQ Pretzel Bites (99p)
- Good Hemp Hemp Seed Hearts (£3.99)
- a2 Long Life Whole Cows’ Milk (£1.50)
- Jelly Bean Factory Gourmet Jelly Beans
- Nick’s Chocolate Wafer Kexbar
What excited me?
There were a few things in here that excited me – not just the jelly beans. The thing which probably excited me most was the Oreo hot chocolate – I absolutely adore Oreo’s and in the winter hot chocolate is my go-to drink, so I am excited to see how the two come together. Another item which I got very excited about was the Butter Crisps – I enjoy a stroopwafel and I think these are just like miniature versions. I also quite enjoyed receiving the peanut butter cups and the cola – both new to me but I have heard good things.
What was I not so keen on?
Needless to say I was excited about all of the unhealthy things and not quite so excited about some of the more healthy things in my box – the hemp seed hearts in particular have me flummoxed so if anybody has any suggestions for how to use them please let me know! I’m also not sure how I will get on with the Yes! bars as none of the flavours are particularly enticing to me.
My Overall Thoughts
Overall, I think this box was worth it (especially since I paid hardly anything for it). Even if I had paid for it (£12.99 including postage) then I think I would have been happy – I’m an incredibly fussy eater and there were plenty of things in here for me. I think it was a good balance of healthy items and treats, as well as a good mix of things which got me very excited and things which got me not quite so excited. I don’t imagine anybody would get a box like this and not get a good selection of things that they liked. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in to tasting everything!
